On August 25, 2019 the Commune di Pomarico, Italy and Mayor Francesco Mancini presented Luigi Diotaiuti with the Lucania Oro award for his contributions to his home region of Basilicata. The award was given to the chef for gastronomy.
On August 30, 2019, the community of Castelluccio Inferiore presented Luigi Diotaiuti with the 2019 “Memorie Migrate” “Migrated Memories” award for his efforts in promoting his home region of Basilicata, Italy.
On November 15, 2019 Chef Luigi Diotaiuti had the opportunity to give a presentation in Marconia, Italy on Basilicata: a way of living’s preservation of the Transumanza and the importance of maintaining agricultural traditions in our food and wine industry.
On November 16, 2019, Basilicata: A Way Of Living hosted An event to promote a new book on the transumanza by Nicola Porgitore. Luigi Diotaiuti had a great time engaging with the community again and discussing his non-profit organization’s 2020 events.
