50topitaly.it – a prestigious Italian gastronomy website recently announced its’ selections for the top 50 Italian restaurants in the world for 2019. Chef Luigi Diotaiuti’s first restaurant, opened 23 years ago, was one of only 2 Washington-DC based establishments to make the cut. “My goal has always been to show respect for the ingredients themselves by using the best quality products in authentic ways. I never set out to win awards. My only mission is to preserve traditions, techniques, and standards,” says the Italian Culinary Ambassador.
